About Grounded and who it is for
What does Grounded Business Advisory do?
Grounded helps founder-led businesses understand what is happening, decide what needs to change and create practical structure that supports the next stage of growth.
The work may include diagnostic review, advisory support, practical implementation or deeper inside-the-business support, depending on what the business needs.
Who is Grounded for?
Grounded is designed for founder-led businesses that have grown beyond the way they currently operate.
It may be a good fit if too many decisions still return to the founder, responsibilities are unclear, work feels reactive, the team is unsure what it can own, or the founder is carrying too much operational knowledge and follow-through.
The Evaluation Review and what to expect
Where does every client start?
Every client begins with the Grounded Evaluation Review.
The Evaluation helps us understand what appears to be happening across decisions, responsibilities, workflow, capacity and operating rhythm before recommending any further work.
What is included in the Evaluation Review?
The standard Evaluation Review includes:
What information will I need to provide?
You will complete a Business Snapshot and Evaluation Reflection and may be asked to provide selected documents or information relevant to the concerns you have raised.
Grounded may scan all information supplied but will determine what requires detailed review according to its relevance to the Review discussion and material findings.
Who takes part in the Evaluation Review?
The standard Evaluation Review is founder-led and includes no more than two participants.
If broader leadership-team or staff involvement is required, Grounded will discuss whether a separately scoped workshop, stakeholder process or Embedded engagement is more appropriate.
How long does the Evaluation Review take?
Timing depends on the availability of the required information and completion of the Review Conversation.
Findings are generally targeted for issue within five business days after the required information has been received and the Review Conversation is complete. Any delay in receiving information may move the delivery timetable.
Is the Evaluation Review just a step toward selling more services?
No. The Evaluation Review is designed to provide standalone value.
You receive a clearer view of what appears to be happening, the priorities that matter most and a practical pathway forward. You may progress the work independently, defer it or choose further Grounded support.
Ways forward after the Evaluation
What happens after the Evaluation Review?
You may choose to:
Only options relevant to your circumstances will be recommended.
What is the difference between Clarity, Momentum and Embedded?
Grounded Clarity helps you understand and decide. It provides perspective, structured advice, document review, research and feedback through a one-off session or monthly advisory arrangement.
Grounded Momentum helps you implement and move. Grounded completes selected pieces of work within an agreed scope, while you retain ownership of final implementation and ongoing use.
Grounded Embedded provides deeper support inside the business. Grounded works alongside the founder and team to design, introduce and help embed practical changes over time.
More detail sits on Our Approach.
Can I combine or stage different services?
Yes. Different priorities may require different forms of support.
You might progress some recommendations independently, use Clarity for particular decisions, select Momentum for defined work and use Embedded support where deeper involvement is needed. Work can be staged according to priority, capacity and available budget.
You don’t need to know the pathway.
Start with a conversation.
Services, pricing and delivery
How is the work priced?
The Evaluation Review has approved fixed investment tiers, with a custom quote available for larger or materially complex businesses. Current inclusions and investment are set out in the Evaluation Review Pricing and Inclusions Flyer.
Clarity is available as a one-off session or through approved monthly access arrangements.
Momentum and Embedded work is tailored to the selected priorities and clearly scoped before commencement. Detailed investment is provided through the relevant factsheet, engagement confirmation or proposal.
Is delivery online or in person?
Grounded works primarily online with founder-led businesses across Australia, with in-person advisory available at client premises across Brisbane by prior agreement.
Boundaries, information handling and fit
These answers are open by default. Nothing here is hidden in fine print.
What does Grounded not do?
Grounded does not introduce heavy process for the sake of it, assume the issue before understanding the business or push clients toward unnecessary work.
The Grounded Evaluation Review is a business operating review. It is not a legal, financial, accounting, taxation, employment-compliance or formal audit opinion. Grounded does not independently verify every statement or document, and the Review does not replace specialist advice. Where further verification or specialist advice appears appropriate, this will be identified.
Clarity provides advice and feedback but does not include document creation or hands-on implementation unless that work is separately scoped.
All work is clearly defined before commencement, and anything outside the agreed scope requires discussion and written approval.
How will my business information be handled?
Grounded will explain the applicable confidentiality, privacy and data-handling arrangements before work begins.
You will only be asked for information relevant to understanding the concerns raised and completing the agreed work.
What if Grounded is not the right fit?
Grounded will be clear if the timing, issue or type of support is not the right fit.
Where appropriate, you may be directed toward a different type of support or encouraged to return when the business is better placed to proceed.
